Scent: Sharp, camphorous with an herbal edge. It cleans out the sinus!

Blends to try: juniper, pine, thyme, lavender, rosemary, marjoram, peppermint and lemon.

Uses: Eucalyptus is an extremely versatile essential oil. It is used on the skin for burns, blisters, wounds and insect bites as it is cooling and anti-itch.

It is also used as an insect repellent, including lice.

One of the first oils that I reach for if I need something to relieve a stuffy nose in the diffuser, it also freshens the air in a sickroom.

Another well known use for it is to relieve sore muscles and joints.

Safety: Externally at low dosage – non toxic, non irritant, non sensitizing. Internally this is a very toxic oil. KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN (as with all oils). Death of a child was reported after ingestion of 5ml (as recorded by both Martin Watt and Sylla Sheppard-Hanger)
